He's wearing a relatively thin kind of robe, with plenty of space for his wings - unfortunately, that also means it's plenty of space for the cold to seep in. It's not so bad here, but the winter breezes were getting a bit strong in some places along the way. Despite the chill, exertion still makes him thirsty, so he takes a drink.]

I'd expect that they would radiate heat and make it worse for you at temperatures like this. If you like, I can enchant a small item to protect you from cold. It might not work well in a much colder environment, but for these circumstances, it could make you more comfortable.
[Toby's herself in a personal bubble of faint warmth. She's endothermic, she creates her own body heat, but she also doesn't have much insulation. Since she also doesn't sweat, both extremes of temperature would give her pause.]

The red light of a setting sun is in sharp contrast to the coolness of the coming evening, and now that he's slowed down, Steven is already beginning to feel a bit chilled. [Toby fishes in a pouch along her upper arm and comes out with a large tan oak gall, about as big as a ping-pong ball, and starts to etch something into it with the claw of her thumb.
It's not super warm close to her, maybe upper sixties, early seventies. She enchanted one of her knee blades to keep her comfortable.]
Yes. There's not much to eat, of course, but I enjoy the view. Have you been well?
Better when I'm indoors, but... yeah, actually! I started working for the orchestra, doing music and illusions - I've been spending so much time there lately, it's actually kind of perfect for me!
[He smiles, and it's genuine. It's been a healthy way to explore his magical abilities, as well as keep practicing something he loves.]
Illusions are just so... natural. Anything I think about, I can start making it seem real.
[That last bit is a little bit wistful. He basically know how that can be kind of creepy conceptually.]
I'm glad you've found something suited to you. I wish I appreciated human music more. From what I've heard so far, it tends to be more high-pitched and... thin or fluttery, I suppose, than what I'm used to.

[He lifts one of his hands, concentrating. A few tiny motes of swirling flame appear, reminiscent of will-o-wisps. They will project a kind of warmth that is entirely imaginary, but comforting all the same.]
I can sort of make things warm, but... it's not real! So I was trying not to do it when I'm actually cold, because... it wouldn't actually keep my body from getting hurt by it.
...Also... I can always tell it's fake, so... they don't actually help me as much.
[Toby admires the little flying flames, reminding herself they aren't real and she doesn't have to worry about them burning down the edifice. She's always going to be more inclined to wariness around fire when she's above the ground.]
